Auditions:
The Brown County Playhouse and director Susan Rardin, will hold auditions at the Brown County Playhouse on Feb 10th and 11th at 7pm.  Auditioners will read from the script.  Audition sides will be available 30 minutes prior to auditions.   

Show dates: Production dates will be April 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20.  Rehearsals are typically four evenings per week until tech week.  

Character overview below:

Ethel Savage: Stage age 60-80. Widowed, inherited great wealth.  Kind, gentle woman with a joy for life.  Step mother to three adult children who are out to get her money.

Titus Savage: Stage age 45-65.  Eldest son, senator.  Domineering, controlling.

Samuel Savage: Stage age 40-60.  Middle child, judge.  Weak and inept.

Lily Belle Savage: Stage age 40-60.  Daughter, socialite.  Spoiled, demanding, vain.

Dr. Emmett: Stage age 55-80.  Runs The Cloisters, a rest home for people who don’t feel comfortable in the world in which they live.

Fairy May: Stage age 18-30.  Flighty, desperate for everyone to love her, tends to exaggerate and tell tales.

Florence: Stage age 25-45.  A mother whose child died as an infant.  Carries a doll around with her that she pretends/believes is her dead child, John Thomas.

Mrs. Paddy: Stage age 50+.  A woman whose husband told her to shut-up, and so she did.  She rarely talks, but when she does it is usually a list of everything she hates. She loves to paint, she can’t.

Hannibal: Stage age 40+.  A former mathematician who believes he can play the violin, he can’t.  He is sweet, kind and caring.  Somewhat child-like.

Jeff: Stage age 25-45.  A former bomber pilot from WWII who was shot down, resulting in the loss of all men on his plane.  Believes he was horribly burned in the crash, though he wasn’t.  Basically has PTSD, survivor’s guilt and amnesia.

Miss Willie: Stage age 25-45.  A nurse at The Cloisters.  Kind and caring, she is also Jeff’s wife.  Works at The Cloisters to be near him.  He does not remember her.
