The 13th Annual Indiana State Fingerstyle Guitar Festival features a morning guitar competition and an evening concert!

11:00am Guitar Competition
Up to 40 acoustic guitarists from around the world will compete to win one of the prize guitars and move on to the International Competition in Winfield, Kansas, later this year. The first round of competition will be followed by a Final Five Playoff, with winners announced immediately after.

7:30pm Evening Concert
The Top Three players from the morning competition will open the show, followed by Mark Sganga, Brian Henke, and Bryce Mullins. All three have been part of our festival for years and are fan favorites.

Tickets
Tickets are available for the Morning Competition, the Evening Concert, or as an All-Day Pass. “Front & Center” seating is the first 3 rows and is available for both the Evening Concert and the All-Day Pass.

Mark Sganga has enthralled audiences from Stockholm to Kuala Lumpur to the Thredbo Jazz Festival in Australia. His dynamic playing has been featured on tours and recordings with the sublime Indian violin virtuoso Dr. L. Subramaniam, alongside esteemed greats such as Larry Coryell and Herbie Hancock. In touring across the states, Mark has played opposite the legendary Taj Mahal in a Santa Cruz Festival. Mark has been a main stage performer at the reputable Walnut Valley Guitar Festival in where he won first place in 2009.

Brian Henke composes and performs his music like a painter putting images on canvas, a kind of sonic shaman, drawing his inspiration from the world around him. His unique guitar style has been called everything from Folk to New Age to Neo-Classical to Pastoral, or as Brian likes to call it, “a big stewpot of everything, stirred up, simmered and served to taste.” A winner of many acoustic and electric guitar awards, he has also been a finalist in the prestigious National Fingerstyle Contest in Winfield, Kansas, the National Guitarmageddon regional finals in Boston and in New Age Reporters Top 10 for 2006 and 2010.

Bryce Mullins from Batesville, Indiana, has a master’s degree in classical guitar and his influences include Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Jerry Reed, and Steve Howe. Bryce is a teacher at Miss Shannon’s Music Studio, and performs solo fingerstyle concerts, weddings, and lead guitar for The Yorkridge Boys. Bryce released his 3rd album, “Cask Strength”, in 2021. A frequent top-5 finisher in the Indiana Fingerstyle Guitar Competition, Bryce has also been featured at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society events in Nashville, TN.
