You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown
The musical follows Charlie Brown and his friends through a series of vignettes exploring their personalities and struggles. Charlie Brown grapples with self-doubt, a crush on the Little Red-Haired Girl, and his perpetual bad luck — losing to a kite-eating tree, striking out in baseball, and receiving no Valentine’s Day cards. Lucy pines for Schroeder, bullies Linus over his security blanket, and discovers she’s genuinely very crabby. Snoopy daydreams of adventure as a jungle beast and WWI flying ace. Sally develops quirky “philosophies,” and Linus offers quiet wisdom to everyone around him.
Through it all, the gang shares what makes them happy, Lucy tells Charlie Brown he’s a good man, and the show closes on a warm, bittersweet note about finding joy in everyday life.

Charlie Brown • Description: The central character of the musical, Charlie Brown is an everyman. Though he is sometimes down, he is a kind, gentle kid, and has a big heart. • Vocal Range: Tenor
Sally Brown • Description: Charlie Brown’s younger sister who is sweet but can also be skeptical and intense. • Vocal Range: Soprano
Snoopy • Description: Charlie Brown’s lively pet beagle. Snoopy has a wild imagination. • Vocal Range: Tenor or Alto • Other Notes: This part can be played by any actor who fits the vocal range. Physicality & dance experience helpful but not required.
Lucy Van Pelt • Description: A classmate and friend of Charlie Brown’s. Despite her tough exterior, she has moments of compassion, vulnerability, and insight. • Vocal Range: Alto
Linus Van Pelt • Description: Lucy’s younger brother, who is intelligent and philosophical. • Vocal Range: Baritone • Other Notes: Dance experience helpful but not required.
Schroeder • Description: A classmate and friend of Charlie Brown’s. He is a piano-playing prodigy who is obsessed with Beethoven. • Vocal Range: Tenor
