Born in England, Jon emigrated to the U.S. with his parents and began his performing career at the age of eight, singing and playing guitar. Spotted by Hollywood producers on a local TV talent show, Jon was soon appearing in commercials and television shows such as “Combat,” “Daniel Boone,” “My Three Sons,” “Nanny and the Professor,” “The Bill Cosby Show,” “Adam – 12,” and Walt Disney’s feature – musical “The One And Only, Genuine, Original Family Band,” as well as creating the voice of Christopher Robin for the Academy Award – winning featurette, “Winnie-the-Pooh and the Blustery Day.”

Along with his acting career, Jon continued to develop his musical skills, writing and performing many original songs for “The Waltons” At nineteen, he made his debut on the Grand Ole Opry and has since appeared as a guitarist – vocalist on television, records, and stages around the world with such diverse and legendary artists as Richard Marx, Brian Setzer, David Koz, The Doobie Brothers, Gregg Allman, Merle Haggard, Roy Acuff, John Mayall, Denny Laine, Spencer Davis, Peter & Gordon, Jackie Lomax, Roger Daltrey, Eric Johnson and Strawberry Alarm Clock – just to name a few.
