As a songwriter, guitarist, and producer he has worked with the likes of Jack White, Tommy Emmanuel, Luther Dickinson, Dave Cobb, Blackberry Smoke, and even been a member of Grateful Dead founder Phil Lesh’ “Phil & Friends”.

His current album was released on August 21, 2020 and was recorded at The Sound Emporium in Nashville (Alabama shakes, Robert Plant, Jason Isbell) and produced by Eddie Spear (Brandi Carlisle, Chris Stapleton). JD scored the new Baz Lurhman directed Warner Bros Elvis biopic starring Tom Hanks as Col Tom Parker under the music supervision of Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlisle), playing all guitar and co-scoring the entire movie due this year…you can view the trailer HERE.
