Audiences enjoy music of the 50’s, 60's, the best of Broadway, Country, Gospel and much more. While connecting with their audience through music, dance and laughter, they pay tribute to the classics while bringing in the new. This brother team involves the crowd with favorites by The Righteous Brothers, The Eagles, Bobby Darin, Michael Buble and Elvis to name a few. So feel free to sing along and dance the night away! Lee Roy Parnell Lee Roy Parnell is a triple-threat Americana/Blues-Rock artist known for his guitar prowess (particularly slide guitar), smooth soul-drenched voice, and top-shelf songwriting skills. Parnell has earned two GRAMMY® Award nominations for his instrumental tracks, “Cat Walk” (with Flaco Jiménez) and “Mama, Screw Your Wig On Tight" and was nominated for the CMA Vocal Event of the Year on "John the Revelator" (with The Fairfield Four).

Indiana State Fingerstyle Competition Daytime

This ticket is for the daytime competition only.... One of the most prestigious events of the year! The finest acoustic guitarists in the world come to Brown County to compete on the historic stage of the Brown County Playhouse! 40 musicians will compete for the prize guitars, and a chance to play that night at The Evening Concert! Wristbands will be issue so that you can come & go.

The evening concert featuring the winners and special guests will begin at 7:30 pm. Daytime competition cost is $16.50. Evening concert tickets sold separately, no combo tickets are available.

One of the most extraordinary events of the year: during the day 20+ talented competitors vie for nationally recognized title & trophy: custom-made $5K guitar! The evening concert featuring the 3 winners and special guests Christie Lenée, Helen Avakian, and Muriel Anderson! These three women have each won the International Fingerstyle Championship, and it is an honor to have them together on our stage! Concert time 7:30 pm.

Cost is $24.50 or VIP $34.50 (seating in center section). Daytime competition tickets sold separately, no combo tickets are available.

"Gershwin & Friends: A Broadway Songbook Cabaret"

This witty and clever walk through the greatest music from Tin Pan Alley to the early days of Broadway features classic songs from George & Ira Gershwin as well as their friends and colleagues including Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Jerome Kern, Hoagy Carmichael, Rogers & Hart, Kay Swift and more.

The songs are connected by humorous, insightful and endearing stories from the lives and careers of these music masters. Jazz Era gowns and tuxedos frame this elegant and entertaining journey through the best songs of the 20th Century including “Stairway to Paradise,” “Our Love is Here to Stay,” “Night & Day,” “My Funny Valentine,” and “Blues in the Night.”

Brown County Redevelopment Meeting - August

The Brown County Redevelopment Commission will holding a series of community meetings from 6 - 7:30 pm.

Purpose: Engage the community on the environmental and resource priorities for the County. Maximize the opportunity to communicate with the community on key issues and initiatives impacting them.
Format: Generate public participation. Using a “Town Hall” format, utilize county experts to review priorities and initiatives that will support our achievement of the environmental and economic goals for the county. Get their feedback and buy in; send simple, clear and consistent messages about the priorities and give them the opportunity to provide feedback and work together to generate ideas.
Partner with key groups within the county whose work intersects or supports the county priorities and well being of the community. (e.g., “Keep Brown County Beautiful”). Collaborate with them; leverage their expertise and influence to ensure plans are unified for the community.
