Arsenic and Old Lace auditions at the Brown County Playhouse. \nAudition Notice: The Brown County Playhouse and director Susan Rardin\, will hold auditions for Arsenic and Old Lace on Monday\, August 10th and Tuesday\, August 11th at 7pm. Auditions will be held at the Brown County Playhouse. Sides will be available for perusal at 6:30pm each night. Production dates are October 2\, 3\, 4\, 9\, 10. Rehearsals will be four evenings per week with rehearsals starting Sunday August 16th. Contact Susan Rardin\, if questions. \nShow synopsis: Drama critic Mortimer Brewster’s engagement announcement is upended when he discovers a corpse in his elderly aunts’ window seat. Mortimer rushes to tell Abby and Martha before they stumble upon the body themselves\, only to learn that the two old women aren’t just aware of the dead man in their parlor\, they killed him! Between his aunts’ penchant for poisoning wine\, a brother who thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt\, and another brother using plastic surgery to hide from the police – not to mention Mortimer’s own hesitancy about marriage – it’ll be a miracle if Mortimer makes it to his wedding. Arsenic and Old Lace is a classic dark comedy about the only thing more deadly than poison: family. \n  \nThe following roles are needed: \nAbby Brewster: (stage age 65-80) One of the Brewster sisters who reside in the family home. \nMartha Brewster: (stage age 65-80) One of the Brewster sisters who reside in the family home. \nJonathan Brewster: (Stage age 45-60) Eldest nephew of the Brewster sisters. A criminal and murderer on the lam. Sinister\, threatening\, imposing. His face has been surgically transformed to look like Boris Karloff. \nDr. Einstein: (Stage age 35-70) Jonathan’s criminal partner. He is responsible forJonathan’s facial transformation. \nTeddy Brewster: (Stage age 40-65) Middle nephew of the Brewster sisters. Believes he is Teddy Roosevelt. Jovial and good-natured. \nMortimer Brewster: (Stage Age 25-45) Youngest nephew of the Brewster sisters. In love with Elaine Harper. Works for the newspaper reviewing plays. Kind \nand funny. Is doted on by his aunts. \nElaine Harper: (Stage age 25-40) Girlfriend of Mortimer. Daughter of the Rev. Dr. Harper. \nReverend Dr. Harper: (Stage age 50-70) Minister of nearby church. Neighbor of the Brewsters. DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\nIntroducing New Music Celebrating History And Honoring Service \nLetters From The Front is a new musical work for four voices and piano. Composed by New York composer Patrick Zimmerli with libretto by Mirabelle Ordinaire\, this song cycle is based on letters sent by service members and their loved ones during wartime.
